By Air transport
The third alternative to get to Selous Game Reserve is by using a charter flight. There are numerous departure flights connecting from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and Arusha that land at different accommodations or public access airstrips. With most tourists on a Tanzania Safari entering the country through the Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), they can easily catch a connect flight to Selous from there. These scheduled flights serve the Selous and the neighboring Ruaha national park. This is the fastest way to get to Selous game reserve despite the fact that it is the most expensive.
