Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

You will be picked by our representative at the Kilimanjaro international airport and you will be transferred to Arusha where you will be booked into a hotel so that you get ample time to rest before you officially start your safari the next day.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Our first safari destination will be the Lake Manyara National Park. The Park is surrounded by a Lake which makes almost ¾ of it covered in water. It is a good place for one to watch quite a large number of wild animals and birds inclusive. We drive through the Park and get a lunch break in between before continuing with the drive in the afternoon. Dinner will be served and an overnight spent at the camp.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro crater

Breakfast will be served at the lodge in Lake Manyara and then we will drive through Tarangire till afternoon. Lunch will be served before we drive to Ngorongoro crater where we will have an afternoon drive. Ngorongoro crater is a host to a wide range of animals and some of these include zebras, eland, elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos and hyenas to mention but a few.

Day 4&5: Ngorongoro crater

Day 4&5 will be spent exploring the Ngorongoro crater and all it has to offer. We will drive through the crater enjoying the serene beauty of the wildlife in the crater, take photos of the crater Rim and also get to visit the Olduvai Gorge which will take us back in time to experience how the Bushmen lived. The lodge will be booked for two nights and all the meals will be provided all throughout your stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro conservation area

On day 6 we will drive through the conservation area till we get to the Ndutu Lake where we will get to see the calving season in its full glory. The calving season is best seen between January and February during the rainy season.  Get you camera ready and take as many photos of the calves as they try to move around the Park and you also get to see the predators hunting down the calves who try to move around on wobbly hooves. Later in the evening, we will have dinner before resting for the night at the campsite.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha

We will have a nice and leisurely breakfast in Ngorongoro, enjoy a morning drive and then drive back to Arusha from where you will connect with the flight back home in Kilimanjaro. This will be the end of our 7 days safari.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

An early morning drive form Arusha after breakfast will take us to our first destination which is the Tarangire National Park. It will take us roughly 2 hours to get to the Tarangire National Park which is a host to over 1000 elephants. Tarangire is an all year round destination and as you drive along the Tarangire National Park be on the lookout for giraffes, buffalos, spotted hyenas, hippos and zebras among others. You can also catch the calving season between January and February and get to see many of the young animals fending for themselves as well as predators hunting down the inexperienced calves. We will drive to the tented camp where we will spend an overnight and have dinner while enjoying the sunset.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

We depart for Lake Manyara National park in the morning after breakfast and discover the beauties that the park has. There are several animals that the park host and these include elephants, tree climbing lions, hyenas, buffalos and hippos among others. We drive through the Park till late afternoon when we retire at the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara national Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast and a morning drive around the Park, we will drive to Serengeti National park. when we get to Serengeti, we will first book into a lodge where we will have to spend two nights, have lunch before starting our exploration of the Park which is best known for the annual wildebeest migration.

Day 4: Serengeti National park

Day 4 will be for exploring the central part of Serengeti where large herds of animals will be seen at the Seronera River. With the help of a tour guide, we will track down the animals like zebras, antelopes, lions, wildebeests, giraffes, kudus, hippos, buffalos, spotted hyenas and crocodiles before the animals cross over into the Masai Mara in Kenya. After lunch, we will get to meet the Masai people and get involved in their day to day activities and later on in the evening, we shall have dinner around a campfire and spend the last night in Serengeti at a campsite.

Day 5&6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

Breakfast will be served and then we will drive to Ngorongoro conservation area where the crater is found. We will spend two nights at Ngorongoro which will give us ample time to explore this UNESCO heritage site. We will make two stopovers and the first one will be at the Olduvai Gorge where archaeologists discovered fossils that are believed to be for the first humans. The second stop will be at the crater rim where you get a clear view of the Great Rift Valley before descending into the crater to get a glimpse of the animals that live here. Watch out for the big five, enjoy the beautiful scenery and then retire at the lodge where two nights have been booked. All meals will be provided throughout your stay in Ngorongoro.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha

After breakfast at the farmhouse, we drive back to Arusha where we will drop you off either at the airport or hotel room depending on your personal arrangements bringing an end to our 7 days safari- Northern circuit Tanzania.

The 7 days camping safari will take us to the Northern circuit Tanzania and some of the National Parks that we will visit on this safari include Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

After your transfer from Kilimanjaro international airport, we will pick you up from Arusha after you have refreshed and we will drive out to Tarangire National Park where our safari will officially begin from. Lunch will be served and then afterwards we will enjoy an afternoon drive before retiring at the campsite for an early dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Day 2 will be dedicated to exploring Tarangire National Park and our journey will begin right after having breakfast. Tarangire National Park is a host to the largest herd of elephants in Tanzania and the calving season (January and February) is best experienced in Tarangire National Park. You will get to see many of the many calves as they learn how to feed and how they try to run away from the predators that see them as easy food for hunting.  After having lunch at a secluded bush, we will continue with our afternoon drive before retiring for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Tarangire National park to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we drive from Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park which is just a few kilometres away. Lake Manyara can be visited all year round and is filled with lush green vegetation from January to September due to the fact that ¾ of the park are filled with water and has an underground water system. It is the best place to see aqua animals and birds. After a lunch break, we continue with an afternoon drive before retiring for an overnight and dinner at the campsite.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti National Park

A morning drive will be taken in Lake Manyara national Park after breakfast. We drive along the Lake Manyara where many animals like zebras, antelopes, elephants, hippos and buffalos can be seen and not forgetting the lesser pink flamingo. After lunch we drive to Seronera the central part of Serengeti National park where we will have an afternoon drive along the Seronera River. The chef will help with putting up our tents and dinner will be served as we prepare for the overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

The gam drive through Serengeti will start right after breakfast and the whole day will spent exploring the Serengeti plains. We get to witness the wildebeest migration (if we get the chance) especially from June to October, meet with the local Masai and spend some time with them and then continue with an afternoon drive tracking down the animals. Dinner will be served around a campfire before we retire for the night.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro crater will be our next destination when we depart from Serengeti national park. The crater was formed due to a collapsed volcano forming the caldera. At the moment it is a UNESCO heritage site and a home to thousands of animals and birds that live within it. After leaving Serengeti, we descend into the caldera to get a glimpse of the animals and birds before having our packed lunch near the hippo pool. Dinner and overnight will be spent at the campsite.

Day 7: Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

We get to have an early breakfast at the campsite and then a game drive through the crater. We then leave Ngorongoro and drive back to Arusha where you will be transferred to the Kilimanjaro international Airport for your flight back home. Day 7 will be the end of our camping safari to the Northern circuit Tanzania.
