A 4×4 vehicle will be used during your stay while on this safari and you will be able to visit the famous Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro crater.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

On your 1st day, we shall pick you from your hotel where you will be briefed about your trip and what to expect by the driver guide and then we shall head out to the Northern circuit safari with our first destination being the Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire National Park covers about 2600 kilometres squared and is famously known for being a home to a large herd of elephants. Other animals that are found in Tarangire include lions, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, zebras, antelopes and wildebeest. A 4×4 vehicle with an open roof will be used so that you get a clear view of the animals while driving through the park. A picnic will be packed for lunch and in the evening, we shall drive to the tented lodge which will be your accommodation facility for the night. Lunch and dinner will be provided for everyone while on this trip.

The tented lodge is a luxury accommodation facility which has a clear view of the Tarangire Park and Lake Burunge. Some of the services offered here include en-suite rooms with verandas, a swimming pool, a bar, a deck and a fire place especially during the rainy season. After dinner, you get to rest as you prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the tented lodge, the Northern circuit safari continues. We shall drive to Serengeti National Park and make a quick stop at the outskirts Ngorongoro Conservation area and the Mto Wa Mbu a Masai village. At the Ngorongoro conservation area, you will get a clear view of the Great Rift valley and the crater which is known to be the largest caldera in the world. The crater is a home to many animals some of which include giraffes, elephants, lions, buffalos and a wide range of bird species. after taking a few photos, we shall proceed to the Serengeti National Park.

When we get to Serengeti National Park, we shall first make a stop at the Seronera section which is also known as Central Serengeti. We shall stop at lunch at the Kati tented camp before lunch and then proceed to drive through the Park as you enjoy the animals that you live here such as lions, elephants. Giraffes, buffalos, hippos and elands. Seronera is known as the best place to watch the annual wildebeest migration.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided for the day, a campsite will be set up in one of the safe bushes in Central Serengeti and dinner will be served around a campfire before you rest for the night.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, the whole day will be spent driving through the Park and you get to view some of the wild animals in their natural habitat like lions, hippos, buffalos, elands, giraffes, zebras, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas. If you plan your trip perfectly that at the beginning of the dry season ( June), you will be able to witness the great wildebeest migration that sees over 2 million animals crossing into the Masai Mara which is located in Kenya. After a fun filled day, dinner will be served at the tented camp where you will be spending the night.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro crater

The day will begin at the Serengeti National Park after breakfast at the camp. We shall drive through the Park especially in the morning when the animals and birds are more active before the heat comes in the afternoon hours. We shall then drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area to get a closer view of the Ngorongoro crater. The Ngorongoro crater is a home to over 300 bird species which are best seen during the rainy season (November to April) and a wide range of animals that are best seen during the dry season ( May to October).

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be served all throughout the day and the recommended accommodation facility will be at the Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure lodge which is located just 30 minutes away from the crater. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the crater during the night as you prepare to rest for the next day activities.

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha

You will have breakfast at the tented lodge in Karatu and then after, we shall drive you back to Arusha while you enjoy packed lunch and we shall drop you of at the airport at around midday for your flight back home and that will be the end of our 5 days safari lodge in Tanzania.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We shall pick you from the airport and drive you straight to the Tarangire national park after a few minutes of refreshing yourself. The Tarangire National park is filled with baobab trees which are believed to be over 1000 years old and as we drive through the Park you will have a clear view of the animals which include cheetahs, baboons, monkeys, ostriches, buffalos, warthogs, impalas, buffalos, elephants, zebras and giraffes.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

The drive to Serengeti National Park will start after a heavy breakfast at the accommodation facility. As we drive to the Park, we will make a quick stop at Ngorongoro which is en-route and you get to see a clear view of the Great Rift Valley and a glimpse of some of the animals migrating to other Parks. After that, we shall continue to Serengeti where we shall have a quick drive around the central part of the Park and some of the animals that you will see include lions, zebras, giraffes, elands, antelopes and elephants. You will also be able to witness the great wildebeest migration that takes place every year during the dry season (June to October). After the drive, dinner will be served in the evening and you get to spend the night at the Serengeti camp.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

When breakfast is over, we will have a morning drive through the Park and for all those that had booked for a hot air balloon, this is the moment for it. The hot air balloon ride will begin at 5:00am and at around 8:30am we shall set off for the Ngorongoro crater. The crater is a home to various wildlife which include zebras, elephants, elands, spotted hyenas, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes and a wide range of bird species. The drive through Ngorongoro crater will take the whole day with a break for packed lunch before we drive you back to the camp where you will have dinner and then rest for the night.

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we will have a morning drive through the Ngorongoro crater and this is because most animals and birds are active in the morning. We will then heads back to camp, pack up and then drive to the Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National park is best known for the climbing lions that can be spotted hanging in tress during the drive. Other animals that you will find in Manyara include elephants, hippos, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest and water birds like the lesser pink flamingo. The driver guide will tell you the history of the National Park, the vegetation and they will also help with identifying some animals. Lunch will be served before continuing with the game drive and later on in the evening, dinner will be served and you will spend the night at the booked accommodation facility.

Day 5: Lake Manyara Park to Moshi

After breakfast, we will drive through the Park in the morning and in the afternoon, lunch will be provided before being driven back to Moshi. Lake Manyara will be our last destination with you before you are driven back to Moshi from where you will be taken either to the airport or your hotel room. The Park which is filled with 3/4s of water is a home to aqua wildlife especially the hippos and the pink lesser flamingo.
